Hey! Is this group still active? The aim seems to be the same as for our group Endangered-Birds, namely art collection of threatened and endangered birds.

Sort of! I haven't really been on dA lately so this group has been somewhat neglected. However, the book is now complete- I got the shipment last month and have been working on getting orders out to Kickstarter backers.

Yeah! I'm so thrilled to finally have an actual book, ha ha.
The artists were sort of self-picked! I contacted a number of artists to sort of get the ball rolling, but after that it was word of mouth and people coming to me. Basically you just had to ask and you were in. I sort of went with the idea that if you think your art is good enough for an art book, then it is! I think it helped to get a bigger variety of styles in the book, personally.

Any chance there's an end date in sight? I haven't heard from you guys in a while, and I was really excited about this book.
Hello! Sorry for the (very late!) reply! I haven't been on dA much. The book is currently completely (and taking up my entire living room). I'm shipping out books in rounds over my weekends. If you've already ordered a book it should arrive sometime soon. If not, I will be making it available for sale as soon as I've filled all the Kickstarter orders.
